Which business is right for me?
This seminar answers the questions men and women think about when planning to start their own business.
What do I need to get started?
How do I determine if there is a need for my business?
>br>How do I develop a business plan?
How do I identify financing and customers? Why is marketing essential?
These questions and steps for starting your own business will be answered by the Director of The Institute, Fabianne Gershon. You can also schedule a confidential counseling session with her to learn how to make your own business plans a reality.
Take the entrepreneur self-assessment survey at the Institute’s website, http://www.yourfutureinbusiness.org/getting started/self eval.html to discover if you have what it takes to become an entrepreneur.
Here’s an example of how we can help: An interview with a Crown Heights social worker who is the mother of six revealed that she had trained and wanted to be a midwife. To build a midwife practice, we advised her to take temp assignments from and partner with other midwives, hold workshops on birthing, develop informational business cards and reach out to mothers in her children’s classes. She now is happy in her midwife business.
Register for this seminar by calling either JBFCS 212 632-4728 or the JCC 646.505.5708.
